Getting to Byron Bay

You can organise your Byron Bay Airport Transport from either Gold Coast Airport or Ballina Gateway Airport. Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar & Pelican Airways all fly into Ballina Airport. With the Gold Coast Airport you can fly in using either Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar & Rex Airlines . If you are coming from and International destination you can also choose from Air New Zealand, Scoot Airways & Air Asia X. Once you have chosen your airline we can assist you with your Byron Bay Airport Transport from either of these 2 airports irrespective of which airline you choose. We do recommend that if you are flying from Melbourne that you should fly into Gold Coast Airport opposed to Ballina Airport. The reason for this is that there is only one flight a day from Melbourne to Ballina Airport and if it cancels there are no alternative flights until the next day. Please also take into consideration that if you fly into Ballina Airport during the wet season there is a high probability that the plane might not land because Ballina Airport, unlike Gold Coast Airport, doesn’t have all weather landing facilities commonly known as AWLS.

Goverment Authorised Transfer Service

Unlike the majority of the Byron Bay airport transport companies we are are fully licenced in both New South Wales & Queensland. What does this mean for you? Well the majority of Byron Bay airport transport companies are only licenced in the state of New South Wales which means that it is illegal for them to provide airport transport to Byron Bay for Gold Coast airport as this airport is located in the state of Queensland. This creates a potential problem for passengers as it also voids the transport companies insurance, and potentially your travel insurance, because they are acting illegally. We do recommend that you check with whoever is providing you with airport transport that they are authorised in both states. They should hold a BSP number for NSW and a BEA number for QLD.

With Byron Bay Airport Transport you can feel safe that we are fully authorised in both states:
